Synthetic underlay can be used for many different applications. It is used as a lining for splints and compression bandages as well as a protective layer under plaster casts and synthetic molds. In wound care, it acts as a dressing when combined with cloth dressings or paraffin gauze dressings.

Cotton wool soft for almost wrinkle-free fit
The fine fibrous tissue is dense enough to be applied in a circular fashion, but can be gently dismantled where needed and prevents bulging, improving comfort during use. The material is also suitable for treating narrow areas of the body, such as the thumb, because it can be thinned by gently stretching it lengthwise. An adhesive effect inherent in the material makes the coating easier to apply and smooth.

The synthetic lining is characterized by air permeability and temperature equalization. The fibers do not absorb moisture, thus reducing the setting time. The synthetic substrate is available in standard and sterile versions.
