The Blackboard Balance & Proprioceptive Training System is a new and innovative foot exercise and rehabilitation system that helps both injury prevention and post-injury recovery.

This is a whole new way of training the legs and lower leg shaft. Blackboard works with respect to the rules of nature and uses the torque between the front and back of the foot. Various competition or daily life situations can be simulated and training performed by inserting different wedges installed at the bottom of the device. Thus, Blackboard is aimed at both professional athletes and people who play sports amateurly or simply wish to have a healthy body with stability, balance and flexibility.

The Blackboard with the introduction of different wedges in its lower part has a variety of exercises and training modes that train exactly the points needed to make the lateral rotation effortless giving us a stable posture, improving balance and body shaping.

In post-traumatic or post-surgical cases the neuromuscular system faces a great challenge in relearning movements. Complex movements are often a series of already existing segmental patterns. So what if that long streak is interrupted by injury? With Blackboard, we now have the opportunity to target with our training the performance of specific units and perfectly re-adapt the neuromuscular system. In addition to orthopedic rehabilitation, the Blackboard can also be used for warm-up and to strengthen the muscles of the legs, stomach and back.

The innovation of the Blackboard training system lies in the fact that it uses a function that is rarely considered: transverse rotation, which actually means the rotation of separated body parts in relation to each other. Through the separation of the footprint there is the potential to create a huge level of rotation between the front and rear of the foot, which is equivalent to the amount of activity used in walking or jogging. With this action, Blackboard strengthens the muscles right from the bottom of the body upwards shaping our muscle base. In addition to a more stable posture and an improved reaction time, body conformation and balance are positively affected.

It is easy to understand this function. Think of a towel in your hand. Without movement, it will be very soft and flexible, but the moment you grab both sides and start twisting the edges in different directions, you will find at some point that the soft cloth has turned into a solid structure. This is essentially the same principle that our body can use to stabilize limbs such as legs and arms without significant use of energy.

Because its two linked platforms can move independently, it allows for isolation of specific front and rear leg movements for training. The axes of movement can be freely positioned, which in addition to mobilization supports targeted activation and strengthening of certain (perhaps deficient) muscle groups.
