The pressure hemostatic bandage is designed for the care of serious wounds where the victim is suffering from heavy blood loss. These bandages consist of a thick pad attached to an elastic bandage which allows pressure to be applied to the wound while holding the pad firmly in place.

When a victim suffers from heavy blood loss it is important to be able to apply the correct dressing to the wound quickly to reduce the chance of the victim going into shock.

Designed for use by rescuers, paramedics and emergency personnel, this sterile tourniquet is rolled in such a way that it can be removed quickly and easily from the packaging. The main feature is the additional thickness of the absorbent pad compared to simple dressings. These features make it ideal even when the user has to treat a relatively large wound.
